I had hoped that Basma would give me a black bitch, and from the start kept a very close eye on this one, the first girl to be born, who came into this world which such zest and zeal. I made my final decision when the litter was around 6 weeks, opting for this sweetheart with the white bib and long white socks. I especially fell for her graceful yet strong physique and her sweet nature, so reminiscent of her mom's.

Tayra is now a beautiful, sinewy girl who like her mother loves to cuddle. She uses her voice like her mom as well, and no one is left in doubt as to her opinion on any given subject! She also smiles a lot, mainly at other dogs in her pack. She's full of energy and wild antics and especially enjoys romping with her doggy friends. Tayra has been to one show, the 2008 Saluki Specialty, where she got a "very good" when judged by Rosemary Lewis (Knightellington)

Tayra has been TgAA tested (neg.) in early 2010 and her heart auscultated (no murmurs) and a cardiac ultrasound done (healthy) in February 2011.
