Hali got his first pet name Iso Herra (Big H, from the words "iso herra" meaning "big man") due to his size – he's a big 'un! From the beginning he has been the thinker of litter, who would walk into the middle of any situation and then sit down to observe and analyze the goings on. He was also the first to run with the big dogs – a bold philosopher with a good measure of energy mixed in with the thoughtfulness!

Hali is a sweet, goodnatured and sociable young man, who remained at home a little longer than the others, his stay further lengthened when he developed bronchitis after a touch of kennel cough. At 8 months of age he moved to the Kupiainen family in Punkaharju, who had waited for him for weeks. The family has 3 kids and an idyllic country home. Hali has two live-on doggy buddies, the Jack Russell Oiva and the Saluki Qashani Saroukh Saudi, aka Sasu.

The new family gave Big H a new pet name, courtesy of the family's son Otto. The nick name Hali means Hug, as in Big Hug.
